Creativity is to think more efficiently.

Spearheaded by VP, Michael Langlais, the Marketing Innovation Lab was born out of a common necessity experienced in the TX+CO region.  The MIL exists to provide custom marketing support for our Sodexo family.  In today’s world, a cookie-cutter approach just won’t work.  The MIL’s goal is to provide marketing and communication solutions from unit level to regional and sales support.

MICHAEL LANGLAIS

VP, Operations

As an accomplished leader with more than 20 years of extensive food service management experience, Michael has been with Sodexo for the last 12 years. He joined the team as a Resident District Manager in USAA Headquarters, trailblazed as a 7-year District Manager overseeing an account portfolio throughout Texas, and most recently as VP of Operations for the Texas 5 Region; inclusive of Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio and El Paso.

Michael totes an education background from the Northeast consisting of a master’s degree in Hotel and Food Management at New York University in NYC and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing at Assumption College in Worcester, MA  

Jerry Brownlee

District Manager I

Jerry Brownlee attended Florida State University for business and Keiser University where he received his culinary degree. After an intensive internship in NYC, he moved to Texas where he started his career in contract food service with Eurest and later with Guckenheimer. He climbed the ranks from line cook, to executive chef, to catering director, and then to GM. As a GM he joined Sodexo in 2015 through the Right Start program, traveling the country opening new units. He settled at Alcon HQ in Fort Worth TX, where he was promoted to AGM. Overseeing more than $15M TMV, Jerry has enjoyed mentoring a leadership team that has helped shaped the success of the TX5 in DFW.

NATHALIE WOODS

Marketing Specialist

Born in Hollywood and raised in Southern Cal, most of Nathalie’s career was based in the Music and Television industries.  She honed her skills working for industry giants such as Virgin Records, Sony Pictures and Warner Brothers both in the states as well as Europe, South Africa and South America.  In search of a much-needed life change, Nathalie moved to Texas where she met her husband and settled down.  Starting completely fresh, she landed at Sodexo and literally worked through the ranks from the kitchen to retail and finally in marketing where she has been able to utilize all of her skills in project management, PR and communications.  As Marketing Specialist for TX5+CO3 and Lead of the MIL (Marketing Innovations Lab), Nathalie has had a major role in landing key accounts, concept creation, unit openings and spearheading marketing innovations throughout the TX5+CO3 region.

Kayla Johnston

Social Media Specialist

Kayla is Fort Worth native with a background in fine arts. Currently working on a degree in visual arts and communications, she is the MIL’s Social Media specialist, working with various social media platforms for the TX5+CO3 region internally as well as with campus accounts, she integrates her creativity into connecting customers with Sodexo campaigns and unit-specific communications. In addition to building the MIL’s social media presence, she is also the ‘Boots on the Ground’ Retail & Merch specialist. Kayla has supported major unit openings using her digital marketing and merchandising skills to help train unit marketers to communicate best with their customers.

Carlton Brown

Creative Content Artist

Carlton Brown attended Florida A&M University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. His design background includes corporate, agency and freelance graphic design with a history of leading print, interactive and digital design projects. With over 10 years of  design experience he has had the opportunity to work on nationwide and international campaigns; as well as a host of startup and mid-size businesses. As one of the newest members of the Sodexo family he is excited to collaborate with clients and creative teams across Sodexo to deliver design solutions that will help lead to more success.
